Nurgle: converting a Daemon Prince

This all started with a creative painting challenge run by my local games store. You randomly pull out a blister from a blind bag and then paint that model as creatively as possible. I pulled out this great looking Adeptus Mechanicus miniature, but I don't intend on ever collecting or playing with this faction. I was planning on someday starting a Nurgle army ....
Why not use this challenge as an excuse to start with it now, let the converting begin!

With Nurgle why not start with some tentacles, a Plaguebearer head and some extra arms ....

Every daemon carries around some severed heads, right? With those added along with a big sign of Nurgle on the models back the conversion was complete. A scenic base with rocks a big mushroom that I sculpted and a cute little nurgling finished it off and the model was ready to prime.

I kept the red robes of the poor Mechanicus priest that the daemon uses as a vessel. Aside from some Death Guard green and silver metal paint the entire model was painted with washes and pigment powders to give it a dirty look.

The skulls, teeth and some other little details got painted with a bone colour. Some highlights added with a mix of white and brown.

The base was painted with light brown and then shaded with washes before drybrushing the rocks and painting the mushroom.

And that's really about it. Easy and relatively fast conversion and painting. I quite like this "Nurgle style", it's very forgiving and fun!
Maybe I'll start collecting a small force of Nurgle models that are all converted in some way ...
