Beastgrave instead of Kill Team to get the kids into the hobby

It finally happened, my first real tabletop miniatures game with one of my kids!
I originally planned on Kill Team to get them hyped for wargaming, but actually it was Warhammer Underworlds: Beastgrave that did the job ... or did it?

Since we really like playing boardgames I purchased the Fallout boardgame last year november. Now I realise that this still is a pure boardgame and doesn't qualify as tabletop wargaming it does feature some really nice looking mini's!
And it really is a great boardgame for the Fallout fan, if you like the videogame "Fallout 4" you will have a ton of fun playing this!

What makes Warhammer Underworlds so good is that it's the perfect mix between:
a boardgame (you play it on 2 boards divided into hexes)
a deckbuilder (we've been playing MtG for years)
a miniature tabletop wargame (just check out those impressive sculpts of the included warbands!)
With relatively simple rules to learn, fast paced gameplay and heaps of replay value I can't recommend this enough as THE gateway game into our beloved hobby!
With the extra warband I purchased that's 3 fun painting projects added to, the already very long, waiting line .... although I did promise to paint up the Fallout mini's first ...
so much hobby fun, so little time!
