6mm wargaming, gathering the troops!

Slowly getting back together with my former gaming group has me looking into 6mm tabletop wargaming. They use the "Future War Commander" ruleset to play their games.
The online shop Microworld Games has a very big range of 6mm SciFi armies that are all very well sculpted. So I started browsing through them.
I wanted something different than the "standard" SciFi army with tanks, giant robots and other flashy stuff, and boy did I find it! Lizardriders ..... actual scifi troops riding dinosaurs!!!!! How awesome is that!
Having no idea anymore on how the rules actually worked (played a few games aaaaaaages ago), I just started picking the units that I thought looked the coolest. While doing that a very rudimentary idea started forming about the fluff or background of my new army. So to get into that theme I also added some units from the fantasy range: Lizardmen! Both the fantasy and the scifi ranges use the same kind of dinosaurs so they mix together very well. The miniatures were quite easy to paint, even with my deteriorating eyesight!
Behold: The El Dorado City Guard emerges from the ruines of their once fair golden city and are ready for war!
